How Can I Properly Clean My Product?
For any seasoned traveler, it’s important to remember, the imperfections in your luggage are what really make it interesting. A clean and pristine suitcase, it has no character, no stories to tell. Think about a book that doesn’t have tattered pages or notes written in the margins, it never really made an impact on anyone.
From one traveler to another, let your bag show its travel scars, they’ve got character.
If you want to know how to clean up any stains or messes, we’ve got the information available below.
Upright Luggage Care
The luggage specialists at Speck Travel recommend using a gentle soap, warm water, and rinsing well. If you would like to wax your 22-inch, 26-inch, or 29-inch suitcase after cleaning, we recommend any silicone-base automobile or furniture polish. It will let your suitcase keep its luster and add resistance to our already durable shell.
We do NOT recommend, however, that you try to clean the luggage with a combination cleaner-polish. We tried it in testing and trust us, it didn”t end well.
We recommend spot cleaning with a mild soap (dish soap) and water. If you’re dealing with some larger stains or messes, try a product used for spot removal on clothing, or using a foam type cleaner used to clean car mats or automobile carpets (sold at car parts stores).
If the backpack has seen too many days of travel and has an offensive odor, use a vinegar (1 part) and water (5 parts) mixture. This may take the odor out. But, keep in mind, vinegar is a smelly substance, and your bag will then need to be aired out for a few days. Also, we recommend placing charcoal in the bag for a day or more (depending on the strength of the odor) and close the bag. The charcoal will absorb the smell.

What Does My Warranty Cover?
This limited lifetime warranty covers only manufacturing defects and does not cover any damage caused by misuse (such as transportation of unusual items), neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines for example). While non-warranty maintenance or repairs on your Product can be performed by any company, Speck Travel requires that you use only an approved Speck Travel authorized repair center for warranty repairs. Improper or incorrectly performed maintenance or repairs void this warranty.
What Is Considered A Manufacturing Defect?
If your warranty only covers manufacturing defects, it does not cover any damage caused by misuse (such as transportation of unusual items), neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines for example).
